Trethevy Quoit, a Neolithic burial chamber just North of Liskard, Cornwall, is known locally as 'The Giants House'.
A continuation of my work exploring ancient stone monuments and ideas around the perceived permanence of these fragile structures which continue to oversee the landscape. I want to encourage the viewer to think about the overlooked precariousness of relationships that are often taken for granted, both on a personal level and on a lager level, such as our relationship with the environment.
Photographed on my late grandfather's old 35mm camera when I visited, I wanted to incorporate a sense of the movement and blurred focus captured on film within the print.
Due to the nature of monoprinting, the cloud forms and tones vary slightly across the edition.
