This site has been terribly neglected over the past few months, but that will change over the next few days with lots of updates to come, I have been busy!

So, over the last few months I have been very busy with the 'day job' and have neglected this here blog something terrible. I have however, still been getting a bit of drawing done, so here's what I got up to come the end of MMX:

Landmines

Get A Grip and All In Vinyl recently put on a show with a super pairing of American talent, Landmines and Jeff Row, both of which you should definitely check out.

Fenix Tx & Maycomb

The boys from Maycomb where so stoked to be playing with the pop punk ledgends that are Fenix Tx that they commissioned this commemorative poster, available at the show & and maybe still from them if you ask real nice.

Hello Mexico

Supersonic and the trip up North

I don't tend to stray further north than Cardiff on many occasions, but in November I decided to go visit old housemate and best buddy Kay, of Get A Grip fame, in Birmingham. Whilst there I finally got to ses the Get A Grip Studio, and I've got to say it's a pretty sweet set up (if not a bit cold!) especially considering Kay's last workshop I saw was her parents garage!
My visit also coincided with the Supersonic festival at The Custard Factory where GAG had a stand exhibiting their sweet screen printing skills. Whilst Kay dipped out for a pint and a wee, me and Kay's man, Andrew from Bangers, took the helm! To see a more pictures and a better telling of the story go here, I recommend it.

Crazy Arm Poster

Unfortunately after completing, photographing and sending my submittion to The Decked Project 2010 my SD card became corrupted and won't allow me to upload any photos gaaaa...
The private view of the show was ace, absolutely loads of people turned up to the Coningsby Gallery and it was nice to get out of the shire for a few days and into the city!

Ok, so it's been a busy month so far, lots of new things on the way!
Some more illustrations have been produced for my good friends Get A Grip and their newly designed website and a forth coming koozie (beer cooler - don't worry I had no idea either!) which will be up and available to see very soon. Well the old Mac broke, it served loyally for about 6 years but I decided the time was right to invest in a shiny new one. And with that, finally upgraded from Photoshop 7 to CS4! And this is my first punt at that new fangled vector-me-bob thing... more practice is needed for sure but I think it went ok.
Look out for more practice pieces in the future... next week: different brushes & colour, exciting!

I do love proper arcade machines, I spent my childhood wasting gallons of pound coins in these things, so in honour of this wasted youth I now present, the first in a new range that will hopefully include a fare few (Datona racing-esque and Time Crisis-esque machines already in the pipeline):

Illustrated Book of Quotes and Sayings III

Probably should have posted about this when it came out but better late than never. The Illustrated Book of Quotes and Sayings III is the third installment in the series from successive 3rd Year BA(Hons) Illustration students from University College Falmouth. Each student chooses a quote or saying then illustrates a double page spread. The official launch was held at the RSA Vaults in July 2008.
